With an album that grows like nature intended, the VIRIDESCENCE Studio Album shares 12 high-range ambisonic tracks available in Apple Digital Master. Written and recorded in protest of Mackenzie Shirilla's unconstitutional imprisonment.
When words alone don’t feel loud enough, we turn to music. That’s how Project Viridescence was born — using Mackenzie's favorite color, a collaboration between Camden Tenney Hicks' SYGNYTURE and a powerful mission to fight for Mackenzie Shirilla’s freedom.
Viridescence is more than a Music Campaign. It’s a living, breathing advocacy project rooted in resilience, truth, and the belief that no one should be forgotten behind bars. Through raw, anthemic tracks that blend alternative, rock, R&B, and emotional storytelling, the project shines a light on Mackenzie’s story — a young woman many believe was wrongfully convicted and continues to fight for justice years after the 2022 incident that changed her life.
The name “Viridescence” is the latin word for the process of "becoming green" — the specific shade #469D33 'Kenzie Green' shoots that push through even after destruction. It represents hope, renewal, and the strength to keep standing tall when the system tries to keep you down.
Project Viridescence isn’t just music for the sake of art. It’s intentionally built as a platform for protest and awareness:
Mackenzie Shirilla’s situation represents far too many cases where the system fails to see the full truth. Project Viridescence exists because we refuse to accept that outcome. Through every lyric, every beat, every “Wrongfully Convicted” print, we’re saying: We see you. We haven’t forgotten. And we’re not going anywhere.
If you’ve felt powerless watching stories like this, know that listening to the music, sharing the message, or rocking the merch is real action. It keeps the pressure on. It keeps the conversation alive. It reminds decision-makers that the public is watching.
Thanks to you
You can stand with someone the system reduced to a number and become part of a future where people arent metrics.
Mackenzie Shirilla was seventeen when the world decided who she was. Social media shaped that story and shaped it badly. For generation Z, the feed is both our greatest asset and our biggest liability.
We are not the caricatures it creates.
